Agra Fort

So after a swift breakfast after the early morning visit to the Taj Mahal we headed off for the Red Fort, so called because of the red sandstone used in much of its construction. Built between 1565 and 1573 in the form of a half moon, this was the seat and stronghold of the Moghul empire for successive generations. A fantastic structure with great views over the river Yamuna and of course the Taj Mahal.
